STERLÉ

PIERRE STERLÉ Diamond Bracelet

A diamond and 18K white gold bracelet by famed Paris jeweler Pierre Sterlé. In the center, a cross motif is set with brilliant-cut diamonds. Ribbons of diamonds in white gold or platinum mountings swirl around each other, form bow shapes. French assay mark and maker's mark.

Pierre Sterlé (1905-1978) was one of the most important jewelers working in Paris during the mid 20th century. His ability to manipulate metal enabled him to bring remarkable fluidity, movement and life to his pieces. He favored the purity of platinum and diamonds and often contrasted the lively sparkle of brilliant-cut stones with the clean geometry of baguette-cuts.
